OI Wild GmbH ("we", "us", "our") operates the oi-wild.com website, the webTWK application (webtwk.oi-wild.com), and related services. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights.
1. Data We Collect
When you create an account, we collect:
- Account information: email address, first name, last name, company name
- Authentication data: hashed password (we never store plaintext passwords), session tokens
- Login metadata: IP address and browser user-agent at the time of login, for security purposes
When you use our applications, we collect:
- Usage analytics: which features you use and when (e.g. "created project", "generated report"), without IP address or browser information
- License checks: when your application verifies your license status
2. Why We Collect It
- Account & authentication: to provide you access to our applications
- Login metadata (IP, user-agent): to detect unauthorized access and protect your account
- Usage analytics: to understand how our applications are used and improve them. Usage analytics are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving our products (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- License checks: to verify your license and provide access to the correct features
3. Data Retention
- Account data: retained as long as your account is active
- Usage analytics: retained for up to 12 months, then automatically deleted
- Login metadata: retained for up to 12 months, then automatically deleted
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We use the following third-party services:
- Render (render.com): cloud hosting and database (Frankfurt, Germany)
- Resend (resend.com): transactional email delivery
We do not use third-party analytics services (e.g. Google Analytics). All usage tracking is handled by our own systems.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
- Rectification: request correction of inaccurate data
- Erasure: request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Data portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format

6. Security
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. All communication is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Our database is hosted in Frankfurt, Germany with encrypted connections.
